I went to attend choir practice at MJC. The juniors were practicing the choreography for the musical, Sunset Boulevard for their concert this coming May. I was impressed with the choreo for the song "Sunset Boulevard"!
The choreography for this musical is solely produced by the members themselves. So much effort must be put into the musical. There would be more contributions from the members compared to Trial By Jury (La Risonanza I). In Trial By Jury, the choir was made to "sit in" for the court scene. As for Sunset Blvd, the choir members have to be purposefully fitted into every scene. Time seems to be running a little too fast for my juniors - "The musical should flow with minimal stoppages" by 19th Apr.
To the choreographers: Jia you!~
To the choir juniors: Jia you!~ I know you people can put up an extravagant performance!
Wanna watch the MJChoir perform? La Risonanza III is the third instalment of our La Risonanza concerts. The choir will be performing the musical, Sunset Boulevard by Andrew Lloyd Webber (the same person who produced Phantom of The Opera).
Venue: the Victoria Concert Hall
Time: 1930 hr
Tickets are selling at $12 each.
Contact me if you wanna buy the tickets. =)
MJChoir alumni practice
Went for alumni practice in the evening. The attendance was err...sad. There were only 2 sops, 2 altos, 4 tenors and 4 basses. Some of the juniors - Ber, Gracelyn, Rach and Yc were there too! M.Chong was also there! We had visitors - JOh and Sharon too!
Psst...there was a cockroach in the cupboard.
Gerald's birthday dinner (in advance)
After practice, we brought out the cake that we bought for Gerald. We gave him a pair of slippers that we bought from NUM. He said that his friend might be buying him the same slippers. -_- We went to Tampines 201 for dinner.
To Gerald: Happy 19th Birthday!~
To Yw: Happy 19th Birthday!~
